How a burnt out leader got promoted & her mojo back

She found herself googling “how to recover from burnout” again.

She was depleted and frustrated. I am done she said. Her plan was to quit and focus on her health. She would figure out the career bit later when she had some energy.

She recognised her mojo was in the floor.

Her last coach did not get it and encouraged her to “keep going – you have an amazing job”. Her toolkit didn’t extend to navigating this murky soup of leadership and life.

She was desperate, so she sought help hoping this time would be different. She didn’t believe she could keep going. She did not see a career path with the company. Her manager was busy staying afloat. She was a high performer (and in the talent pipeline). She was one of the “low maintenance” ones - who should get more support but often don't.

She learned to manage energy not just time. She reduced burnout symptoms and moved forward in her career and her personal life with optimism. She slowly became her own Chief Energy Officer. There is no stopping her now.
